“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalms 91:1)

Joshua has been memorizing this chapter in the Bible in our home school program and how relevant it has become in these last few weeks. It seems all that people talk about is the Covid-19 virus which is changing our lives, our world, but – hopefully our faith and trust in God, the creator of this universe. The one who promises to cover us with His feathers, to deliver us from the snare of the fowler, to give His angels charge over us is still in control and we know that He is our refuge and we can trust in Him. However, there does not seem a lot of certainty in anything these days – no one knows what will happen next or who will be the next to succumb to the virus and how it will affect the rest of our lives.

Although we do not live in fear, we have been taking precautions and attempting to obey the restrictions placed upon us in order to protect our families and ourselves. Therefore, we have been home for the last three weeks and there are days which are difficult to continue and to understand just what it is that God would have us do in this situation. It is difficult to know our children are far away and we have no way to protect them or to be with them should the virus strike. Praying it does not!!! It has been difficult for Albert to not have contact with the men that he mentors and loves. It is difficult to not attend church on Sundays – although there are plenty of live services broadcasted – it is not the same as ‘gathering together with the saints’ and there is a sense of losing something special – fellowship with others who love Jesus!

We were able to finish the spring session of Bible School just before the shutdown occurred. Professors and students were afraid they would not be able to get home, however, all made it safely. We had 2 new students join us this session so hopefully we will have 4 in the first year class in the next session – as these two will join the 2 from the previous session. We are so thankful for the students who are committed to learning as well as the professors whose hearts are dedicated to the students and to teaching them God’s Word. Unfortunately, one of the professors returned home to England to discover that his son’s home had possibly been hit by the virus. Our hearts and prayers go out to them and to all families touched by the virus or illness of any kind. Due to the virus – we are struggling with knowing whether or not to go ahead with the June session. It looks like professors from outside the country will not be allowed in at that time but we may have enough Romanians trained to take these sessions. Please pray with us, for wisdom and guidance and to know what God, the Father would have us to do at this time.

As we do not know how long the shut down will affect us , we do not know if camps will be allowed to take place this summer. However, we are attempting to keep the campsite prepared should the opportunity arrive to bring in children, teens and adults to relax and refresh in God’s beautiful creation!

Our riding lawn mower decided last summer that it was ‘done’ and although we have tried to have it repaired it seems like we will have to retire it. This means that Elvira and Laurentiu will be doing ALOT of pushing this summer and although that means exercise – it is a lot of grass to be mowed and area to be maintained! We pray the shutdown will soon be over so we can bring some others in to help carry the load! We also pray that camps will be allowed to run again by that time?????

Again, we remind ourselves that God is in control and pray for wisdom and vision to see what it is that He would have us to do at this time.
