The village of Crihalma is a small village situated in the foothills of the Fagaras Mountains and is a half-hour drive to the closest hospital if the road conditions are good.

Elvira is on call 24 – 7 – 365 days a year to all sorts of medical needs. She receives people for emergencies anytime but for the regular needs such as injections, dressings, blood pressures etc. her hours of work are from 11am-2pm every day.

Within the work in the medical field Elvira works closely with the doctor of the area who has his medical office in the next village. She supplies this doctor with many of his specific needs to accomplish his duties, as the medical supplies are very scarce in this country. Elvira has contacts with organizations and people in advanced countries that supply her with supplies that she shares with the doctor and sometimes the hospitals in the immediate area.

Elvira works closely with the elderly and shut-ins in our village of Crihalma and neighboring villages. She spreads the love of Jesus by giving a helping hand or just being a pleasant visitor.
